The
Extremely Handy Little Timer is a simple, low cost, versatile
timer that will operate on AC voltages ranging from 12-24 volts
and DC voltages ranging from 12-24 volts. It is suitable for Security
Systems and many other applications where a reliable modular timer
is required.
TIME INTERVALS
Range 1 0 to 60 seconds. Adjusted by potentiometer.
Range X10 0 to 60 minutes. Selected by plug-in link JP3 (Link
IN) and adjusted by the potentiometer.
Two modes of operation are provided and are selected by
plug-in link JP2.
Using DC Voltages:-
MODE A: The relay is ON AFTER the timed period.
When in MODE A, there are two options.
Relay Latched ON after timed period. (Link JP5: IN)
Relay activates Momentarily. ON for 2-3 seconds. (Link JP5: OUT)
The relay will stay energised after time out if a trigger input
is still present. The relay will de-energise and the timer reset
when the trigger input is removed.
MODE B: The relay is ON FOR the timed period then OFF.
(Link JP5: OUT) The relay will activate for the timed period when
a trigger is applied and de-energise after time out even if a
trigger input is still present. The timer will reset after removal
of the input.
Using AC Voltages:-
Modes of operation as above except when using a permanent trigger
and JP5 is out. The relay will perform a continuous cycle.
MODE A: After the timed period the relay will energise
for 2-3 seconds and then de-energise. If the trigger is still
present the timer will start again creating a continuous cycle
of operation. When the trigger input is removed the timer will
reset.
MODE B: With JP5 out and a permanent trigger applied the
relay will energise for the timed period and then de-energise.
If the trigger is still present then after 3 seconds the timer
will start again creating a continuous cycle of operation. The
timer will reset after the trigger has been removed.
TRIGGER INPUTS
The timer will start when an input is applied to the
