Product Overview
Adding multi-format technology and compact design to the Paxton10 system, the Slimline Reader complements it perfectly. In addition to Paxton, EM, MIFARE® DESFIRE® CSN, HID® Prox 125kHz, FeliCa and NFC, the slimline reader is equipped with multi-format reading technology. A Paxton10 Door or Video Controller can be connected colour for colour to the reader wires. The range of a proximity reader may be affected if it is mounted near another proximity reader. The cable exits from the reader’s back centrally, which makes drilling and mounting extremely accurate. Using Belden 8723 cable, you can extend the cable beyond the 5 metres supplied with the reader. Holding the token close to the reader is the only way for it to be read. Following the reading of the token, the control unit looks up the user’s access permissions. Depending on the circumstances, access is granted or denied. Token, touch-to-enter, and long range Bluetooth® operations are also supported by the reader for use with smart credentials.
