The external sounder is powered from its own local AC adapter and has a built in battery backup; it communicates wirefree to a FW/JA63 control panel, with 2-way communications. The sounder performs regular self-testing and reports its condition to the control panel for full supervision. The sounder is protected against cover and wall removal. The 4 blue high visibility LEDs flash changes to 1 flash per second when in an alarm condition, acting as a visual indication of an alarm.
